In the framework of the VI National information library week "INFOLIB – 2017" was held a parallel event. One of such events was the exhibition of traditional applied art. On it in the foyer of the National library was presented the best works of masters of traditional crafts such as M. Mamajonov, S. Badalbaev, R. Zokirov, U. Tahirov and A. Saidaliev.
The aim of this exhibition is the acquaintance of the National library, participants in the Week, young people with examples of works of masters of decorative and applied arts: pottery, wood carving, calligraphy, ganch carving and their masters.
Pottery is one of the most ancient crafts. In many regions of Uzbekistan developed pottery and in each region formed its own school. In recent years, revive the historically formed centers of ceramics, greatly expanding the range of products (dishes, bowls, cups, vessels for water, milk, a variety of jars for food storage), improving their quality. The master, feeling the support of the state, increase the production volumes to achieve profitability and competitiveness of their products.
Carving and painting on wood is one of the traditional in Uzbekistan artistic crafts. In wood painting used paint 12 colors and patterns. Wood carving in Uzbekistan emerged as decorations of wooden columns, which were widely used in ancient architecture of Uzbekistan. Later, the art of carving were presented at various wood fragments, ranging from massive columns and beams for the ceiling and ending with a tiny children's amulets.
Miniature art today is an independent Uzbek fine art. Miniature painting in Uzbekistan is represented by different types: the miniature on paper, on leather, on wood, on fabric, on canvas, on the boxes. The technique of writing a thumbnails complex, requires a sharp eye, a steady hand, great patience.
During the exhibition a member of the Academy of arts of Uzbekistan Umar Tohirov, artist of miniature painting Ulugbek Ibragimov, people's master of Uzbekistan, honorary member of the Academy of arts of Uzbekistan Mahmudjon Mamajonov, the winner of the 3-place at the exhibition in Japan, participant of exhibitions in Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries of the world Abdukarim Saidaliev and a member of the creative Union of the Academy of arts of Uzbekistan, the winner of the contest "Etirof-2017" Rahmatilla Zokirov held for young visitors, a master class, and the youth bending over the table observed with curiosity as the wizard masterfully creating samples of decorative art.
