09.07.2019 The National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi announces the admission to the National Educational Electronic Library (NEEL) on a competitive basis in the following specialties: 1st category specialist, leading specialist, chief specialist, and Head of Service.
In accordance with the tasks set out in the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyaev dated January 12, 2017 "On the development of the system of publication and distribution of book products, improving the culture of reading" was analyzed to study the needs of users. In the National library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, all conditions for free access to the main, auxiliary and open funds have been created for users. The departments of books of Dispatch service and literature issue have made a rating for 6 months of 2018 of the most popular books, Newspapers and magazines among users on the basis of orders to the book Depository funds.
In addition to the books, the rating of periodicals has been compiled. The total number of completed orders of periodicals (Newspapers and magazines) amounted to 61, 3045 copies. Of these, 392450 were Newspapers.
The most popular Newspapers 5 items amounted to about 64% (251168 instances) of the total number of Newspapers.
Great interest among library users to periodicals can also be seen on the orders of magazines through the dispatch service (Department of book publishing). For 6 months of 2018, orders for 220595 magazines were fulfilled.
Of these, 5 most popular journals published in the Republic in the Uzbek language (67634 copies), as well as 5 scientific journals published in Russia (45127 copies) accounted for 51 % of the total order (112761 copies):
