June 1, 2019 in the reading room "Uzbekistan" of the National Library of Uzbekistan opened a book-illustrative exhibition titled "Bolalar - kayot mazmuni, oila kuvonchi" (Children - the meaning of life, family joy), dedicated to the International Children's Day.
According to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 5574 of 12.11.2019 "On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the transfer of days off in 2019" and a decision of 30.05.2019:
- June 1 and 2, the National Library of Uzbekistan provides services to users until 5:00 pm;
- on June 4, on a pre-day day, working time is reduced by 1 hour and services are rendered to users until 19:00;
- On June 5, in honor of the holiday Ruza Khayit (Iid al-Fitr), is declared a weekend and the library does not render services to users on this day.
A total of 226,844 users are registered with the National Library of Uzbekistan; in May, 700 were reregistered and 1594 users have been registered, 28 of them are foreigners.

On May 29, 2019, the National Library of Uzbekistan hosted a creative meeting with the chairman of the German-Uzbek Scientific Society in Germany, the chairman of the Association of Teachers of the German Language of Uzbekistan, Professor Khurram Rakhimov, and also opened an exhibition of works by representatives of German and Uzbek literature translated into Uzbek and German. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan in order to implement paragraph 63 of the Roadmap on holding events at the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi on May 25-30 of this year, an exhibition of books of great thinkers of Uzbekistan and Germany translated into Uzbek and German, aimed at improving the culture of reading among the population.
May 27-29, 2019, during the visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, held at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the lobby of the National Library of Uzbekistan opened the book display of the great thinkers, poets and writers of Uzbekistan and Germany, translated into Uzbek and German languages.
